HIGHER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

FOR FILIPINO RESIDENTS IN OMAN

 

The Philippine Embassy in the Sultanate of Oman would like to inform the Filipino community that, under the Sultanate’s Cultural and Scientific Cooperation Program, the host government will provide higher education scholarship for one (1) Filipino student with the following basic qualifications:

  • Already a resident of Oman at the time of application;
  • Healthy and free of any infectious or chronic disease;
  • Has completed the General Education Diploma (GED) or its equivalent not more than two (2) years ago; and
  • Overall academic grade should not be lower than 75%.

The scholar will study at one of the Colleges of Applied Sciences (www.cas.edu.om) supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) starting Academic Year 2019-2021.

The Philippine Embassy will accept applications regardless of number, but the decision of awarding the scholarship will rest with the MOHE.

In view of the need to submit the applications to the MOHE within the stated deadline, the Embassy will accept the applications only until  25 July 2019 (Thursday).
