CALL FOR CURATORIAL PROPOSALS: Philippine
Participation at the 17th Venice Architecture Biennale 2020

The Philippine Embassy in Muscat would like to inform the Filipino community in the Sultanate of Oman that the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), in partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Office of Senator Loren Legarda, has opened a Call for Curatorial Proposals for the Philippines’ participation in the 17th Venice Architecture Biennale 2019.

The CALL is open to proposals by a single curator or by a team of two curators, specifically Filipino citizens who are architects, curators, practicing artists from different disciplines, urban planners, ecological activists, geographers, historians and critics of
space, heritage workers and others. The proposals should articulate issues of contemporary architecture in the Philippines and elsewhere via the exhibitionary platform. The selected curatorial proposal will officially represent the Philippines to the global
exhibition platform of contemporary architecture which will be held in Arsenale in Venice. The exhibition will be opened to the public on 23 May 2020 and will run until 29 November 2020.
