The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) respectfully reminds the public that the deadline for the submission of the nominations to the 2014 Presidential Awards for Filipino Individuals and Organizations Overseas is on or before 31 May 2014.

These biennial awards were conceived in 1991 by the CFO and the Department of Foreign Affairs for the December Celebration of the Month of Overseas Filipinos in the Philippines and recognize the significant role of Filipino individuals and organizations overseas who have contributed to Philippine development initiatives and promote the interests of overseas Filipino communities.

Eligible for the Awards are overseas Filipinos who have exceptionally distinguished themselves in their work or profession, and have thereby brought honor to the Filipino nation. A distinct category in the Awards is also reserved for foreign individuals or organizations for their exceptional contribution to the Philippines and for advancing the cause of overseas Filipino communities.
