PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN OMAN WELCOMES THE NEWLY-CONSTITUTED BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE FILIPINO COMMUNITY SOCIAL CLUB (FILCOSOC

First Secretary and Consul Bernadette A. Mendoza administered the oath of the newly constituted officers of the Filipino Community Social Club (FILCOSOC) on 1 June 2019.

FILCOSOC is the only Filipino community organization that is duly registered with the Ministry of Social Development of Oman, and is the umbrella organization of other affiliated Filipino community groups.

Consul Mendoza welcomed the new members of the Board of Directors (BOD) on behalf of Ambassador Narciso T. Castañeda, and expressed hope that the good relations and cooperation between the Embassy and FILCOSOC will continue in the common effort to promote the positive aspects of Filipino culture in the Filipino community in Oman.

As requested by the BOD, Consul Mendoza also conducted a Training on Protocol and Program Management for the orientation of the new members and as a refresher session for the remaining BOD members. END
