Nominations for the 2019 Migration Advocacy and Media (MAM) Awards

The Philippine Embassy in the Sultanate of Oman would like to inform the public that the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) has extended until 15 September 2019 the deadline for submission of nominations for the Migration Advocacy and Media (MAM) Awards 2019.

The MAM Awards aims to recognize the positive contributions in media that raise public awareness on issues related to Filipino migration, advocate for the rights and welfare of Filipinos overseas and/or their families, or promote a positive image of Filipinos overseas, including their contribution to the development of their host countries. The media output for the above must have been released or published between 1 January 2018 and 30 June 2019.

The categories for the MAM Awards are:

A. Print Journalism Award

B. Radio Journalism Award

C. Television Journalism Award

D. Film Media Award

E. Interactive Media Award

F.   Advertisement Award

Those eligible for the awards, whether in the government or in private media organizations in the Philippines or abroad, are:

  • Media outlets and institutions;
  • Media practitioners in the fields of print, radio, movie and television, advertising and internet; and
  • Filipinos overseas, including students.
