18 May 2014 - Philippine Ambassador to Oman Narciso T. Castañeda hosted the 9th ASEAN Committee in Muscat (ACM) Meeting at his official residence last May 18. The meeting was chaired by Malaysian Ambassador and current ACM Chairman Dato Rustam bin Yahaya, and was attended by Heads of Post of ASEAN member countries Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, together with the members of the ACM Working Group. Spouses of the ASEAN Ambassadors later joined in the luncheon served after the meeting. 

Among the highlights of the meeting was a discussion on future activities that would further promote and raise awareness of ASEAN’s goals and objectives in Oman.
