20 January 2014 - The Philippine Embassy in Muscat successfully participated in “Fiestahan sa Oman 2014” held on January 17 at a major hotel in the Omani capital. 

“Fiestahan sa Oman” is an annual Filipino community event organized by Filipino entrepreneurs in Oman, which features a Filipino food festival and showcases Filipino culture and heritage through traditional Filipino games. This event was supported by the Embassy, Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Pag-IBIG Fund, and various local companies in Oman. 

Embassy officers and staff were on hand to entertain queries of visitors on Embassy’s consular and other services. An information desk featuring the Embassy’s Citizen’s Charter served to increase further the awareness of Filipinos in Oman in this regard. END
