19 June 2013 – The Philippine Embassy in Muscat celebrated the 152nd birth anniversary of national hero Dr. Jose Rizal by recognizing the art and literary talents of students of Philippine School Oman (PS Oman). The event was held at the Omani Society for Fine Arts where art pieces by other Filipino migrant children in the Middle East were also on display.

The event was attended by PS Oman students whose works were published in the book “Art as Reality: The Transition of Filipino Migrant Children in the Middle East”, their parents, English and Art teachers, Principal Pevwarti Sursigis and Board of Trustees Chairman Dr. Rolaiza Roniella Singayao.
