Philippine Ambassador to Oman Joselito A. Jimeno yesterday commended the Philippine Golfers Association of Oman (PGAO) for organizing a charity golf tournament dubbed “the 1st Ambassador’s Cup” for the benefit of the victims of typhoon “Pablo”.  Held on 22 March 2013 at the Ghala Valley Golf Course in Muscat, the tournament was participated in by about 40 players coming from the ranks of PGAO and Muscat’s Omani and expatriate communities.  Proceeds from the event will be donated through the International Red Cross to the town of Cateel in Davao.  Ambassador Jimeno also used the occasion to promote the Philippines as a golfing destination.
