The Final Testing and Sealing (FTS) of the Vote Counting Machines (VCMs) that will be used for Automated Elections for Overseas Voting in Oman was successfully conducted on 04 April 2022 at the Philippine Embassy in Muscat. The electoral boards and technical personnel tested the VCMs for the overseas voting in Oman to ensure that they are in working order and comply with standards set for overseas voting by the Philippine Commission on Elections (COMELEC). The FTS exercise was open to the public for overseas voters participating in the mock-voting activity. The overseas voting period for the 2022 Philippine National and Local Elections will be from 10 April to 09 May 2022. The voting precincts at the Embassy will be open daily for the said period, including Fridays and Saturdays, from 8 AM to 5 PM. Registered Filipino overseas voters in Oman are requested to bring a copy of their Philippine passport and/or an identification document with verifiable photo and signature when voting. The Certified List of Overseas Voters for Oman may be viewed on the website of the Embassy (muscatpe.dfa.gov.ph) and is posted at the bulletin board of the Embassy's Consular Section. Overseas voting in Oman for the 2022 Philippine National and Local Elections will close on 09 May 2022 at 3 PM.
