The Philippine Embassy in Muscat opened a Book of Condolences in honor of the late DILG Secretary Jesse M. Robredo on 26-28 August 2012 at the Embassy’s Sentro Rizal.

Omani government officials, members of the Diplomatic Corps, and Embassy officers and staff joined the Filipino nation in mourning for the untimely demise of Secretary Robredo and personally signed the Condolence book to express their sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family.

The Philippine Flag on top of the chancery was lowered to half-mast from 22-27 August 2012 in observance of the National Days of Mourning declared by President Benigno S. Aquino III in honor of Secretary Robredo.
