(05 February 2025, Muscat) The Philippine Embassy in Muscat, in collaboration with the Higher Institute of Health Specialties (HIHS), successfully organized a Flu Awareness Campaign & Vaccine Drive 2025 to promote the health and well-being of overseas Filipinos in Oman.

The event featured an informative lecture on flu awareness and prevention from Ms. Maridel Juarez, the Post Graduate Diploma in Infection Prevention and Control Program Academic Coordinator of HIHS.

In recognition of their dedication to public health, Certificates of Appreciation were awarded by the Philippine Embassy to key advocates - the HIHS team, the Postgraduate Diploma in Infection Prevention and Control Program (PGD in IPCP), lead advocate Ms. Maridel Juarez, and Dr. Michelle M. Arsenal, Medical Officer from the Ministry of Health (MoH).

The program concluded with closing remarks from Ambassador Raul S. Hernandez, followed by a Flu vaccine drive.

The Embassy extends its gratitude to the Higher Institute of Health Specialties under the Ministry of Health and the Armed Forces Hospital for their partnership with the Philippine Embassy for this initiative.
