The Philippine Embassy in Muscat conducted the first overseas voter registration outreach activity for 2015 on February 20 at Ruwi Catholic Church.
Father Raul Ramos, Filipino priest at Ruwi Catholic Church, led by example by registering himself. He strongly encouraged all Filipino churchgoers to register and participate in this important political exercise.
A total of 58 new overseas voter registrations/certifications and 11 other overseas voter-related services were facilitated by members of the overseas voter registration team. Other interested registrants will visit the Embassy before the registration ends.
The Embassy also used the occasion to hold a dialogue with the Filipino community to commemorate the 29th Anniversary of the People Power Revolution February 25. END
