Philippine School Overseas Inspection Team calls on the Philippine Embassy in Oman

The Philippine Schools Overseas (PSO) Inspection Team for Oman and Kuwait, composed of representatives from the Department of Education (DepEd) and Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO), paid a courtesy call on First Secretary and Consul Arvic V. Arevalo, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i., at the Philippine Embassy in Muscat, Oman on 25 October 2018.
The team comprising of the DepEd’s Dr. Enrique S. Palacio, Supervising Education Program Specialist, and Mr. John Kelvin R. Briones, Senior Education Program Specialist, and the CFO’s Mr. Manuel V. Tibe, Emigrant Services Officer was one of three (3) Inspection Teams that visited PSOs in different countries for documentary examination, interviews of students, parents, teachers and administration, and ocular inspection for the issuance or reissuance to the schools of Philippine government recognition and permit to operate as PSOs.
The PSO Inspection Team was scheduled to evaluate the Philippine School - Sultanate of Oman (PSSO) located in the Al Khuwair area of Muscat, the first such visit since the PSSO first attained government recognition in 1995. END
