First Day of Overseas Voting for the 2019 National and Local Elections
The Philippine Embassy in Muscat informs all registered Filipino overseas voters in Oman that Overseas Voting for the 2019 Philippine National and Local Elections will officially begin on Saturday, 13 April 2019. The voting precinct at the Embassy will be open from 8 AM to 5 PM.
This is the first time that the Embassy will be using Automated Election Systems for overseas voting in Oman. The use of the automated systems will provide for an efficient system of voting and will ensure the integrity of the votes cast by Filipino overseas voters in Oman.
The Overseas Voting period will be from 13 April to 13 May 2019. The voting precinct will be open daily for the said period, including Fridays and Saturdays, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
Registered Filipino Overseas Voters in Oman are encouraged to cast their votes during the said period. Voters are requested to bring their Philippine passport and/or an identification document with verifiable photo and signature. Voting will officially close on 13 May 2019 at 2 PM.
The Certified List of Overseas Voters for Oman may be found at the Embassy’s website (muscatpe.dfa.gov.ph) and is posted at the Consular Section bulletin board. END.
