ADDITIONAL ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE
HIGHER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
FOR FILIPINO RESIDENTS IN OMAN

   Further to PR-048-2019 dated 17 June 2019 regarding the higher educational scholarship provided by the Sultanate of Oman under its Cultural and Scientific Cooperation Program, the Philippine Embassy requests interested applicants to be mindful of the deadlines set by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), as indicated in this link.

    •    Applications received by the MOHE no later than 31 July 2019 may qualify for the first semester of Academic Year 2019-2020. However, the required documents must be submitted through the Philippine Embassy. Hence, the Philippine Embassy will accept applications no later than 28 July 2019 (Sunday), to ensure that the applications will reach the MOHE within its stated deadline.

    •    Applications received by the MOHE starting 1 September 2019 and no later than 31 October 2019 may qualify for the second semester of Academic Year 2019-2020. The required documents must still be submitted through the Philippine Embassy, which will accept applications no later than 28 October 2019 (Monday), to ensure that the applications will reach the MOHE within its stated deadline.

    The public is reminded that whichever semester the chosen scholar will qualify for within Academic Year 2019-2020, only one (1) Filipino student who is already a resident of the Sultanate will be chosen by the MOHE.
